Niche idea - Sports team colors 🏈
Over 8,000 keywords with a total volume of 14k (but the reality is much, much higher).
This would be perfect for a programmatic SEO play or to integrate with an existing sports blog.
More details in this (short) thread...

To do this well, you need to collect some data. You can do this with code, or by hiring a VA.
- Pick one sport to start
- Research the brand colors in as much detail as possible
- Hex, Pantone, RGB, CMYK
- Include historical data if the branding changed
- Quote your data source
Make it super easy for visitors to get the color codes they are looking for. They might be doing their own merch, a fan site, painting a room, so make it copy + paste.

You can monetize with ads, but that's phase one. Offer direct links to buy paint in the specific colors.

Hit that long-tail SEO content by covering all of the historical data available. People like to research what colors the Dolphins used to wear back in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Here are two sites with DR44 and DR13 that are both crushing it in this very specific niche.
It might not be your long-term passion project, but it might give you some ideas or make a nice topical segment for your existing blog.

Worth mentioning, I found the DR44 site in http://NicheSiteMetrics.com ;)
