Google's contentEffort score rewards enriched data

This would make a very good programmatic SEO site.

Using the scraped birthday data you can very easily answer questions about common/rare birthdays with comparisons by year and looking at trends (did certain birthdays get more/less popular? why?)

A few keywords you could target with search volume per month:

most common birthday: 20k
least common birthday: 2.6k
how rare is my birthday: 4.1k
most common birth month: 2k

Astra could also add the option for users to submit their gender and capture their country from IP and you start to build your own dataset which makes you the only place to get these unique insights.

I have sites using similar data and the numbers get quoted in media all the time. The most recent was a link from the New York Times (DR 94) in June but I get links from universities and other media outlets often, many DR 80+ (if you care about DR).

Google has a score in their API that is produced by an LLM called `contentEffort`. It's a numeric score and page level signal towards the overall quality of a page.

Content like this works because it gives evidence to Google that your content is actually useful and that a real person has worked on this, not just an AI tool writing slop.

I focus so much on data enrichment and showing this effort in my projects because I want it to be the best it can be for users and it turns out that Google rewards that pretty well.

"Effort" is mentioned 100+ times in Google's Quality Rater Guidelines and they look for things like:

- Evidence that a human actively worked on it
- Original facts, data, or perspective
- Use of unique images, videos, or tools
- Whether this can be easily replicated

In my testing I have found that the sites built using just one dataset, where there are many alternatives using the same data, do not get any traction in Google.

The sites where I have made significant effort to find data that is not easily reproduced or has been combined and enriched with other data perform very well (most of the time).

My birthday is September 4th, which makes it more common than 61% of other birthday dates.

I'll let you figure out why that date might make it more common than not.
