How does SONGBPM get traffic and monetize?

First off they have very decent domain authority and since the entire premise is "BPM of a song" and they have a million pages like "BPM for Stayin' Alive by Bee Gees" they've smashed the topical authority out of the park!

This long tail approach means they can mop up a lot of not very competitive terms across thousands of artists and millions of songs.

I bet their traffic is much higher than estimated because keyword tools sometimes can't even pick up the volume on super niche terms!

The page itself is pretty simple and , looky looky, there is no 3000+ word count article here!

They present the data (song key, duration and tempo) along with Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon (affiliate) links and a very quick summary. That's it!

What this volume of content means, though, is that their topical authority as a "BPM finder" is massive, and Google rewards them with a lot of generic + brand traffic 😍

Monetization is mostly AdSense + affiliate programs, but interestingly they have added a Pro option with no ads, unlimited search + playlists and API access for $3 a month.

It's not launched yet but this could work well - particularly for DJs or spin class instructors!
