# About Ian Nuttall

Ian Nuttall is a British marketer, software engineer and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience building internet businesses and AI tools.

I don’t usually talk in third person, btw. This is just for Google (it’s an SEO thing).

Today I operate a portfolio of small tools, apps, and websites using the latest AI agents and models. Some profitable, others not so much.

I build apps that are stupidly simple to use, with a focus on minimalist design, user experience, and the features that actually matter.

My marketing is just as minimal. I use programmatic SEO to show my products in Google and AI search right when people are looking.

Before this I was founder of [Practical Programmatic](https://practicalprogrammatic.com/?ref=ian.is), the largest programmatic SEO course on the web, with over 1,000 students.

Before Practical Programmatic, I was the solo founder of URL Monitor, an SEO product to get more pages indexed in Google. URL Monitor was acquired for $250,000 and has now been rebranded as Cromojo.

Before URL Monitor, I ran a very large portfolio of programmatic SEO content sites. The biggest of which I acquired for $2,000 and exited for $500,000 two years later.

Before the portfolio, I was co-founder of Clever Bytes, an education startup where I handled the tech behind [Kids Konnect](https://kidskonnect.com/?ref=ian.is), [A-Level Biology](https://alevelbiology.co.uk/?ref=ian.is), [Teach Computer Science](https://teachcomputerscience.com/?ref=ian.is) and other portfolio products. Clever Bytes was acquired in two 7-figure exits in 2021.
